I am so excited, because today my Sephora order came in the mail! As you probably know by now, I will be talking about the Too Faced sweet peach eyeshadow collection, Now this palette has been something I want since the fist release, sadly I was not able to get my hands on it at that time, the good news is that I now have it in my possession! I literally cannot wait to talk to you guys about it!
I just tried the palette out and it does not disappoint, there are 18 beautiful shades with the cutest packaging ever! Now what makes the sweet peach eyeshadow stand out from the other chocolate bar eyeshadow palettes is that it has 18 shades while the other palettes have sixteen shades, two of which are larger highlighting colours. Personally I like having more shades in smaller sizes because I do not go through eyeshadow as quick as other products. I have also heard a lot of negative feedback about the variety of colours, I can see where they are coming from but I love having a whole range of shades, it also makes it easy to travel with. Now its not like the shades are that crazy, there are quite a few neutrals too (which I love) but like most Too Faced palettes there were some more vibrant colours. So when I first took the palette out of the box I was in awe, the packaging was so pretty! When I opened up the actual palette I smelled a faint peachy smell, I was expecting for it to have a more synthetic or "fake" peach smell but the product smelled really natural and was not overpowering.
The quality of the eyeshadows was really good. There was one shade I didn't really love which was 'talk derby to me' but it wasn't horrible, I just found it to be more black than purple, because it looked a lot different in the pan. I loved how there are a lot of matte and satin neutrals that make perfect base and transition shades. My favourite eyeshadows from the collection so far are; Georgia, Candied Peach, Summer Yum, Delectable, Cobbler, and Just Peachy. I used a primer for the eyeshadows because a few of them did not show up as well as I had hoped. Those shades were 'Delectable' and 'Talk Derby to me', but those are only two out of eighteen. The application was very good, the shades went on smooth and didn't look too chalky, some were harder to blend than others, but you will find that with almost all eyeshadow palettes. Overall, I can say that this is an amazing eyeshadow palette, I loved how unique the shades were. I always have high expectations for Too Faced products and this one met them. I would totally recommend this to any eyeshadow lover! I also used this apricot blush that goes great with this palette, the blush is from Isaac Mizrahi True collection.
Happy New Year!
